Inspired by The Mummy.
One of my favorite movie franchises when I was a teenager, was‘The Mummy’ – ‘The Mummy Returns’,… Besides the excellent acting of Rachel Weisz and Brendan Fraser, I was fascinated by the Egyptian Culture, mummies, pyramids, Nefertiti, hieroglyphs,… basically everything involving Egyptian history.
In 2008, we traveled to Egypt, Marsa Alam to be more exact. Even though we were not able to see the famous pyramids of Luxor, it was still an unforgettable holiday. We visited some other famous sites. Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Temple of Karnak,…. I was speechless by the beauty of the temples after all these years; the sculptures, the enormous statues, the murals, the Egyptian hieroglyphs sculptures in relief. Truly fascinating.
