Get to know me
Hi and welcome,
I’m Felien, a creative generalist, a maker, dreamer, traveler, nature lover, tree hugger. I’m deeply curious and always asking questions. Basically: someone who wants to explore and create as much as possible. I believe in honesty, kindness, and respect and I try to live with a “you only live once” mindset. (It’s both a gift and a curse, because yes, I often want to do everything… all at once.)
Before I started my own company, I worked as a research technician in biotechnology. You could say experimenting has always been in my nature. Now, I spend my days in my atelier, shaping clay and pouring sustainable candles. (You can have a look at my work here) I’m drawn to the magic of working with my hands. But what truly lights me up is something deeper: the spark behind what we create, the stories we carry, and the quiet courage it takes to live a life true to ourselves.
I’m also a mom of two wild-hearted little ones, a cat mom, a wife, daughter, friend… I cherish deep conversations, slow mornings, and the stillness in between.
By Felien was born out of curiosity, honesty, and a longing for connection. It’s a space for travel, musings, and most of all; the stories of others.
Through different series of interviews, I’ll be sitting down with artists, makers, dreamers, travelers, entrepreneurs and everyday doers; asking them about what drives them, what grounds them, and how they stay inspired through both the fire and the quiet. It’s not about polished answers, but about presence, truth, and the spark that keeps us going even when it’s hard. About beginning again and again.

• Music is sacred to me; it shapes my mood, and I play the piano
• I love both spring and fall (the in-betweens)
• I’m a deep thinker; and yes, an overthinker
• My biggest dream? Renovating a farm; with space for my atelier, a little shop, a flower-picking field, chickens & ducks, and lots of trees
• In my dreams, I’m also a perfect baker
• I’m loyal, kind, honest, an introvert, and a quiet listener
