Chasing the Northern Lights

Patience and some luck,

that is all you need to see the Northern Lights.

A car, my friend Anna & her mom and myself, lots of patience and some luck, was all we needed to chase the Northern Lights in Iceland during my visit in 2014. The excitement, the rush of driving to a good place,… I still remember it vividly. And it was so worth it! Being there in the winter definitely had its perks when it came to seeing the Northern Lights. A magical natural display of dancing lights. I’m in awe of our beautiful world.

And a repeat of this adventure happened in 2024.

Did you know that the Northern Lights are also called The Aurora Borealis? Aurora is the name of the Roman goddess of dawn and Boreas is Greek for the north wind.
